In 2023, I began a new chapter in Leuven, Belgium, after many years living and working abroad as a Canadian expat. Over the past 18 years, my career in international education has taken me across South Korea, the UK, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, and Bangkok. During the COVID-19 pandemic, my focus shifted more fully toward mental health, leading me to pursue a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology though Yorkville University. I am a `Psychologist in Belgium and a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) in Canada.
Living abroad is a journey filled with excitement—but it can bring moments of uncertainty, loneliness, and disconnection. As someone who has navigated these transitions, I understand how challenging it can be to adapt to new cultures, languages, and ways of life while being far from familiar support systems. These experiences shaped how I approach therapy and inform my understanding of the emotional complexities of building a life in a new place.
At the heart of my work is a belief in the power of interpersonal relationships and how they shape emotional wellbeing across the lifespan. Therapy offers a space to slow down and reflect on what you are experiencing. My aim is to help you feel genuinely supported as we explore what feels most important to you, within a compassionate and empathetic space.
My approach is collaborative and tailored to you. I work from a person-centred perspective grounded in systemic theory, integrating approaches such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, Emotionally Focussed Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and somatic body-based work depending on your needs and goals.
I am a registered Psychologist in Belgium and a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) in Canada. I offer sessions in English. I work with adult individuals, couples/partners, families and adolescents (12+), both in-person and online.
