Dr Faye Tsantila - Psychologist

Location: Leuven & Online

I am a registered socio-clinical psychologist in Belgium and Greece, based in Leuven, offering therapy to adults, children, and couples who are navigating emotional difficulties, life transitions, and questions of identity and belonging. My work is shaped by both my professional experience across different settings and my own experience of living and adapting within international environments, with all the excitement and emotional challenges this can bring.

I have been working therapeutically with individuals since 2012, across primary care, psychiatric, and community mental health services. Over the years, I have supported people facing anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma, addiction, and periods of emotional overwhelm. Alongside my therapeutic work, I completed a PhD in Clinical Psychology at KU Leuven, where I worked with international mental health data and developed a deep appreciation for how psychological well-being is influenced by cultural, social, and relational contexts.

Living abroad—whether temporarily or long-term—can be enriching, but it often comes with hidden emotional challenges. Many people find themselves feeling disconnected, under pressure to adapt, or unsure where they truly belong, even when life appears “stable” on the outside. I am particularly attuned to these experiences and to the ways transitions, relocation, and changing circumstances can affect one’s sense of self, emotional expression, and communication within close personal contexts.

In therapy, I aim to create a space where you can slow down, reflect, and feel genuinely met. My work is grounded in a person-centred approach, offering a respectful, collaborative, and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship. I integrate this with cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Gestalt therapy, and relational/systemic perspectives, adapting the work to you, r needs, values, and pace.

I see therapy as a collaborative process—one that supports not only symptom relief, but also deeper self-understanding, emotional resilience, and more fulfilling ways of relating to yourself and others. My intention is to offer a space that feels steady, thoughtful, and human—where you don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. I offer sessions in English and Greek, working with adults, children, and couples, both in-person and online.
