Jordi Courte - Clinical Psychologist & Intern Clinical Sexologist
Location: Leuven and Online
Over the course of my training, clinical work, and personal experiences, I have come to understand how depression, anxiety, and family trauma can leave lasting marks on people’s lives. These experiences shape self-image, relationships, and the paths we take, often creating cycles that are difficult to break. My interest lies in supporting clients to make sense of these patterns, develop resilience, and find healthier ways to move forward. In my sessions, I strive to create a space that is empathetic, understanding, open, and honest, where clients feel safe to explore their experiences and work toward meaningful change.
Alongside this, I have a particular interest in relationships, intimacy, and sexuality. These are deeply personal areas that can bring both fulfilment and difficulty, and they are often shaped by family experiences, cultural expectations, and gender norms. In my clinical work, I support individuals and couples in navigating relational or sexual difficulties, as well as those who struggle with gender identity and societal expectations. My thesis, The Impact of Privilege Awareness on Male Allies: Motivations for Gender Equality and Fighting Discrimination, reflects my broader commitment to understanding how gender and privilege influence well-being, and how awareness can help us move beyond limiting patterns toward more authentic and balanced lives.
I hold a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Education and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology with a focus on psychopathology. During my training, I worked at the Alcoholism Unit at CHU Brugmann in Brussels and at Youth and Drug Help (JDH) in Luxembourg, where I supported people dealing with addiction. I am currently pursuing a Specialized Master in Clinical Sexology and Sexualities and completing my internship at Satori Health Centre.
I work with adults and couples in English, German and Luxembourgish.
