I’m a clinical psychology intern with an interest in identity, relationships, belonging and community. My curiosity and interest in these subjects were born and shaped by my experiences growing up in Kenya and Tanzania. It taught me that our experiences and identity are not just shaped by our personal histories and relationships, but also by the cultures, communities, and environments we live in.
In my tertiary education I have been able to explore these subjects in much greater detail and as I embark on my career I look forward to learning more about how these dynamics play out here in my “home” country of Belgium.
My developing therapeutic approach is person-centred, through which I hope to bring empathy, authenticity, and curiosity without judgment. I hope to create an open and genuine space where you can explore whatever feels important to you.
I am passionate about exploring feelings of loneliness and disconnection, questions of identity and belonging, relationship difficulties, and the search for meaningful community. I believe our well-being is connected to our relationships and to the cultural and social environments around us.
Alongside my clinical training, I have been completing an honours research programme focused on autism and social cognition, which has further developed my interest in how we understand and relate to others.
