Dr Minoo Pouravari - Psychologist
Location: Leuven & Online
I believe healing begins when we feel truly seen, heard, and accepted as we are.
As a psychologist, I am especially passionate about supporting young adults and adults through emotional challenges, life transitions, and the journey of personal growth. I offer a reflective and supportive space where clients can explore their inner world, relationship patterns, and personal values with care and curiosity.
I believe that our early relationships with caregivers play a fundamental role in shaping how we relate to others and how we navigate the world. Exploring these patterns can offer clarity, promote healing, and support the development of more meaningful and authentic connections in adulthood.
In my therapeutic work, I value emotional safety, authenticity, and collaboration. I have completed training in a range of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), schema therapy, reality therapy and psychodynamics. These perspectives enrich my work and allow me to tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs. My aim is to support clients in developing greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and a deeper sense of meaning in their lives.
I hold a PhD in Clinical Psychology, which I began in Counseling Psychology in Iran and continued in Belgium at KU Leuven, where I completed my doctoral studies in2023. I have over six years of experience working in the mental health field. Having personally experienced migration and cultural adjustment, I bring empathy, openness, and cultural sensitivity to my work, particularly when supporting international clients and those going through significant personal change.
If you are going through a difficult time or seeking space for reflection and growth, I would be honored to support you, whether in English or Farsi, as you navigate your unique path.
