Marsilda Islamaj - Intern Clinical Psychologist
Location: Leuven and Online
II am deeply interested in how people develop resilience and find ways to cope with the challenges of life, such as stress, relationships and balance. What drives me is the chance to listen to people’s stories, to acknowledge their experiences and to support them in strengthening their own resources. I believe in creating a safe and warm environment where people feel heard, and where personal growth can naturally unfold.
My studies in Clinical Psychology at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) have given me the foundation to explore these themes more deeply. As part of my training, I am currently completing an internship at Satori Health Centre, where I work with clients from an open and empathetic perspective, reflecting together on what may be helpful for their well-being.
In a previous observation internship at a residential care centre, I gained valuable insight into topics such as grief, dementia and group dynamics. This experience strengthened my commitment to working with people in different contexts and broadened my perspective on the many challenges individuals face.
Having grown up with an intercultural background, I understand the complexity of culture, language and identity. Living between cultures can be both enriching and challenging, and this has given me a strong connection with people navigating similar experiences. I aim to support clients in recognising and embracing their own identity while building resilience.
I work in both Dutch and English.
